April 26, 2004 - Msg 21090: Hey to the porch. Did ya'll put out an APB on me? Ya'll do remember me don't ya. It's me,fun girl.
I have started a job full time and let me tell ya, its hard being poor and hired out. But it has been great for me physically. Just sitting around isn't good for the muscles and as that is what supports the back so much....well you know what I mean. I did find a fellow TAGS fan at the warehouse where I work. I think we may go up to Mayberry in the Midwest. She would love to go.

And this computer is driving me to distraction. It keeps freezing up and shutting down. That is why I haven't been posting much. It disgusts me so much I don't even want to touch the stupid thing.

Little Rosa is blooming into a beautiful baby. She was cute before cause she was my niece, but now she is adorable and people even stop then in stores and at the airport and stuff and tell them how beautiful she is. And she is mouthy just like her mother. Spits out that passy in church so she can speak her mind. Nine months is a wonderful age. Oh, possum, she said to tell Laci that if your daddy is wrapped around your finger, you can get anything you want.

All is going well for fungi, Kyle and I. Kyle will be out of school in a month and is looking forward to it.

Hope all of you are doing well. I think of you often.

Good luck at the Dr. Pipeman. Spot, who gets to clean up the hot wing sauce that got slopped all over the breakroom? You know, your Mamma doesn't work there! tee hee. Asa, poor Asa. "The Fishing Hole"

Well, now, take down your fishin' pole and
meet me at The Fishin' Hole,
We may not get a bite all day,
but don't you rush away.
What a great place to rest your bones and
mighty fine for skippin' stones,
You'll feel fresh as a lemonade,
a-settin' in the shade.
Whether it's hot, whether it's cool,
oh what a spot for whistlin' like a fool.
What a fine day to take a stroll and wander by
The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way
to pass the time o'day.
We'll have no need to call the roll when we get
to The Fishin' Hole,
There'll be you, me and Old Dog Trey,
to doodle time away.
If we don't hook a perch or bass,
we'll cool our toes in dewy grass,
Or else pull up a weed to chaw,
and maybe set and jaw.
Hangin' around, takin' our ease,
watchin' that hound a-scratchin' at his fleas.
Come on, take down your fishin' pole
and meet me at The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way
to pass the time o'day.

Time to go to work.

The recall of Human Beings

THE maker of all human beings is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to the serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed: Sub sequential Internal Non-Morality, or more
commonly known as S-I-N, as it is primarily symphonized by loss of moral judgment Some other symptoms:

(a) Loss of direction
(b) Foul vocal emissions
(c) Amnesia of origin
(d) Lack of peace and joy
(e) Selfish, or violent, behavior
(f) Depression or confusion in the mental component
(g) Fearful
(h) Idolatry

The manufacturer, who is neither liable or at fault for this defect, is providing factory authorized repair and service, free of charge to correct this SIN defect.
The number to call for the recall station in your area is: P-R-A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN by pressing R-E-P-E-N-T-A-N-C-E. Next, download J-E-S-U-S into the heart. No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, the JESUS repair will replace it with:

(a) Love
(b) Joy
(c) Peace
(d) Longsuffering
(e) Gentleness
(f) Goodness
(g) Faith
(h) Meekness
(i) Temperance

Please see operating manual, HOLY BIBLE, for further details on the use of these fixes.
WARNING:
Continuing to operate the human unit without correction, voids the manufacturer's warranty, exposing owner to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded.
For free emergency service, call on J-E-S-U-S.

DANGER:
The human units not receiving this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect must not enter heaven or else heaven will be infected.
Author: The Creator.

April 27, 2004 - Msg 21117: Oh, Ellen Brown that is EXCELLENT!! Hope you don't mind if I copy and post it elsewhere. GOOD ON YA! I try to have factory authorized repair and service every 2 months by going to C-O-N-F-E-S-S-I-O-N. Seems like this old unit needs regular maintenance to keep all shiney and have no green spots. Like Asa's bullets. :-)

Asa, thank you for asking dear, the anniversary was OK. No fireworks, Big Jeff liked his crown but his head was a touch too big (like I didn't see THAT coming). He got me a rose dipped in 24K gold, leaves are green enamel and bud is red enamel. It's lovely and we both get fooled into smelling it regularly. As long as we keep the lines of communication opened, we'll be OK or a good long time, God willing.

Hey to MDC, EB, SRM, Mayberry Deputy and Will Stockdale, P.L.O.. Y'all have a wonderful day!

SRM, preciate the dry chair and the light.

Has anyone heard from BDJ lately? I haven't been posting for a while and so I don't know if he has been around or not. Just wanted to put in my order for a couple jugs of his best mulberry squeezins for my 15th anniversary coming up on the 21st of May. Also wanted to check up on the condition of the Robert E Lee Natural Bridge. You know I get powerful worried this time of year about that bridge and if everyone is crossing safely.

Sounds like Laci has gotten the word through the baby grape vine on how to train your daddy.LOL
I am expecting Little Rosa over for a bit this evening. I got to keep her on Saturday afternoon and she is delightful.

I emailed Boo, a few minutes ago. Hope I get an answer, but if her absence is the result of a computer problem, the email won't get through either, so we still won't know. Did Barney put out an APB on her? Do you reckon ol' Blue could help any?

April 28, 2004 - Msg 21140: Welcome home Romeena - we sure missed you. Glad you had a great time with your girls. We've had a few hummers showing up at our feeder already.

Hey spot - I ain't had a fried egg sandwich nigh on to half my life - sounds GOOOD!

This is how to make color -- I'm gonna space things out so's it doesn't mess up getting my point across...

< font color = "coral" > Your message here < / font >. To get it to work - leave out all spaces - what I wrote above would come out looking like this... Your message here.
Whatever you do, make sure to put < / font > after using color so we don't have another Valentines Day Fiasco. I'm still a little pink over that one. : (
Click on this link to get the list of colors you can use - http://www.tagsrwc.com/crumpbb/faq.html

You can also put bold and italics in your posts too - just do < b > and < / b > for bold and < i > and < / i > for italics. (Remember no spaces for it to work).
Hope that helps (and that I haven't confused you). If you have any more questions, just ask and someone will help you out.

AFD!

April 28, 2004 - Msg 21141: Oops - one clarification to the above - don't take out the space between the words font and color or it won't work!

Thank you.

April 28, 2004 - Msg 21156: Howdy, everyone! Pipeman, prayers for you, friend. All that waiting and testing is no fun, as I well know. Just keep looking up, things will turn out alright.

I'm watching the cutest thing these days, on the feeding patio outside my window. There are a bunch of baby sparrows - almost adult size, but stubby little tails, and they don't fly well. They hang out on the feeding area, and when an adult lands, they all fluff out their feathers, their little wings quiver and they follow the adult with open beaks. Invariably, the adult will stop and feed them. I'm not sure what they're feeding them, since sparrows are primarily seed-eaters, but they're feeding them for sure. It appears that any old adult will do, not necessarily their mother, because I saw three adults feed the same baby yesterday. Guess birds are like folks, nobody can resist a baby. How I do love this window on all the activity in my back yard.

I haven't heard from Boo. No reply to my email, so I'm guessing she's got 'puter problems. She'll probably be back before long.

Well, everyone have a nice evening. Sugarplum says hey! --Romeena

April 29, 2004 - Msg 21157: Charlotte Tucker, I'll second that order for the 75 degree weather! Geesh!

Hey Ed Sawyer, have a nice vacation! What Island will you be on if you don't mind my asking? I've only been on Oahu a couple times. It's supposed to be the most crowded of the Hawaiian Islands, mostly because of the tourists, but as far as I could see, it was still a beautiful paradise!

I wish Boo would check in. Although maybe she went on a mission(as she has been known to do) in Mexico or some other place and forgot to tell us. Or did she mention anything like that does anyone know?

April 29, 2004 - Msg 21170: Howdy, all. Fun girl, I missed saying howdy to you when you turned up a few days ago - it's good to see you back here. Pipeman, you don't need to be doing all that cooking. You just set and rest a while, and let us do it. I'm gonna cook up a pot roast with all the trimmings, and make a pan of cornbread, fresh salad, pickled beets, and a triple chocolate cake. Tea and sodas are in the fridge, of course. Everyone come on by, and for those that are ailin', I'll hitch the Plum up to her little wagon and she'll deliver a plate for you. She knows better, but just in case the edges look a bit chewed, don't worry, she's clean and has had all her shots.

Speaking of shots, I went today and got all the immunizations I'm gonna need for the trip to Mongolia, and it wasn't bad at all. One arm is a bit sore, but that's it. Now I just have to get my passport, am waiting for a copy of my birth certificate. Can't find the thing anywhere, so I just ordered a copy.

Asa, snow?? I can't imagine! Here it is almost May and you're still getting snow. Why, I've been digging in the dirt outside for two months now. I can't imagine such a long cold winter. You must have a bad case of cabin fever. How does little Barney handle it, when his little undercarriage drags in the snow? Does he plow a tiny little furrow? (teehee)

April 30, 2004 - Msg 21178: OK, all you strawberry eaters. I need some advice. Whenever I get strawberries from the garden, if we don't eat them the first day, they turn sort of whitish and ferment. I've tried cutting them all up and putting sugar on them and that seems to make them worse. If I buy those California ones and keep them in the fridge whole, they seem to keep ok. What do you do to keep plain ol' garden strawberries fresh? We don't have any yet, but strawberry season is a comin'.
Charlotte Tucker

April 30, 2004 - Msg 21179: Hey to everyone! So nice to hear from you, Boo!

CT - for your strawberries, when you pick them make sure you leave the green caps on them, pick only "red" berries as strawberries don't ripen after picking. DO NOT wash them and make sure they don't sit out at room temp for very long. Store them in a single layer (on a cookie sheet or something of that nature) and loosely cover with plastic wrap. Put them in the coldest part of your fridge. They keep 2-3 days. When ready to eat, wash them with cold water in a colander but don't let them sit in water. They lose color and flavor that way.

Asa - hope you have a great time at the race!

Prayers for all!

May 01, 2004 - Msg 21202: Howdy, all. Boo, if you happen to see this, it was good to hear from you. Glad everyone is okay, and sorry about poor little Nugget. That same tragedy happened in our family once. We had an Easter chick that grew up and was part of the family, lived in the back yard with our gentle little dog (folks didn't know much about keeping furkids in the house back in those days) and he thought he was a dog. Even ran to the back fence and squawked at the garbage trucks as they came down the alley, and he didn't roost. He slept lying on his side, back to back with my dog. We made the mistake of agreeing to keep my aunt's dog for a few days, and the very first night, that dog killed our little pet chicken. My baby brother was in hysterics, I was furious and grief-stricken, my parents locked the dog in the garage for the next three days, and we never kept her again, but that didn't bring the chicken back. Poor Sam, he was a good little chicken, and my own dog grieved for days. They were the best of friends. Animals are funny people.

I can't believe it, but it's 52 degrees here in north Texas today, and rainy. I was intending to plant petunias today, but maybe not. Think I'll stay in the house with some hot soup and cold tea, and a warm furkid draped over my feet. I do have to get outside briefly, though. All my little wild friends are around the feeders, and they're empty! There's a cardinal, a woodpecker, three bluejays, three doves, numerous sparrows, some pigeons, and five squirrels. Guess I'd better go feed them.

Have a great weekend, folks, and Sugarplum says hey! --Romeena
