431 | | Thursday October 30, 2008 - 10:26am | Hello all, I am a 43 year old Police Officer/Navy Reservist who was deployed to Afghanistan for OEF. Recently, I started enjoying many of the features on Mayberry.com. It has been a great source of entertainment (sometimes even ON duty...lol). I encourage you all to take the time to navigate through all there is on the site. For instance, I just listened to the 3 episodes of "Two Chairs No Waiting" with "Goober" and "Floyd" and really had a good time listening. Thank you Mr. Newsome and all who contribute!

429 | | Friday October 10, 2008 - 06:50am | I'm a big Seinfeld, Office, Simpsons fan, but I have to say the cream of the crop without a question is The Andy Griffith Show. The show has a warmth about it and the characters really make you feel like you personally know them. THE BEST! And say hey to Goober for me!

424 | | Thursday September 4, 2008 - 04:21pm | There is no better show on TV than the Andy Griffith Show. I have all 8 years of the series and I watch 2 or 3 shows a night before going to bed. This is a show that shows me a time when I was really too young to remember but a time I wish I did remember. Life seemed so simple and uncomplicated and I long for those days now. And most of all, Andy Griffith is wonderful. As Opie put it one time...he was as wise as King Solomon. He had a way of getting people to do just what he wanted them to and letting them think it was all their idea. My Dad was like this and I guess that's one reason I just love Andy Griffith. Don Knotts and Ron Howard were also fantastic. I would love to one day meet Andy Griffith face to face. That has been a dream of mine for a very long time.

423 | | Wednesday September 3, 2008 - 11:17pm | The day after Don Knotts passed away, I drove to 4 or more stores and purchased the 1st 5 seasons of dvd's. After 5th season Barney was only a guest. My favorite is "Barney's sidecar". But I do not dislike any single episode. I guess they are all favorites. My kids watch the shows as much as us. Much better than modern TV.

422 | | Tuesday September 2, 2008 - 11:21pm | I grew up with Andy, Opie, Goober, Aunt Bee and all of the others, I continue to watch all the re-runs, in todays hectic life I try to put myself in the show by pretending i'm there, I know that it sounds silly but someday I will find my Mayberry. Why I repeat Why can't we still have shows on tv like we did back then, mayby there would be less violence and more of what Mayberry RFD stands for, people helping people and not being afraid to walk down the streets. Thank you to the writers and producers who created my alltime favorite show, God bless you all and to all of the cast. Thank You" Fred Bellmore Pigeon Forge, Tn.

418 | | Friday August 15, 2008 - 02:31pm | I really enjoyed Andy's part in Brad Paisleys video; "Waitin On A Woman". Andy looks good. Can anyone tell me if the video with Andy was shot in Nags Head North Carolina. It looks very familiar. Also when I went to the Lost Colony in Manteo years ago, they said Andy was Sir Walter Raleigh on the stage in the Play. The lady also said that Andy's legs were so skinny they had to wrap them to make them look more muscular. I hope someone that may not know this already enjoys reading it. Thank You

416 | | Wednesday July 30, 2008 - 03:36pm | I loved the A.G. show. It's as good today as it was when I was a kid. I just never could figure out if I wanted Andy Taylor to be my dad or my husband. It proves that a show can be as good 40 yrs later and still pertain to today.

413 | | Wednesday July 16, 2008 - 08:34pm | Does anyone know what happened to Josie LLoyd who played Mayor Pikes daughter and also Lydia Crosswaith? She seems to have disappeared from view in 1967 after approx. 17 years in show business. I was always fascinated by her ability to transform her physical attractiveness into a socially awkward character. A very funny actress. any help appreciated. Eric
