Hello! I know that this comment is coming years after you first posted this but yes... Matlock was inspired by Bobby Lee Cook who is an attorney in Summerville, GA. You can search Cook and Connelly lawfirm to find out more. His daughter Kristina Cook Connelly is a judge now. His son-in-law recently died but he was his partner at Cook and Connelly (Branch Connelly). I am friends with all of Mr. Cook's grandchildren so that is how I know this information.
