yea he got shot in "The Outcast", that whole episode was somewhat unrealistic. I mean the whole plot of the episode doesn't happen if anything would have happened differently through the whole first hour, from if Ramon hadn't left his pictures in Matlock's car to if Ernie wouldn't have gotten grease on Matlock's white shirt when he was sneaking around his room. Then at the end it was like an hour or more must have elapsed in less than 2 minutes of the show. It's one of the few that doesn't end with a courtroom scene, but does begin with one. Good episode, but probably one of the more unrealistic.
