January 06, 2013 - Msg 91892: Hey there Porch Friends!
Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmastime and New Years thus far. We've been traveling and getting everything ready for school and work. Time to get back to reality. We had fun in Ohio sledding and snowmobiling. My Southern city kids had a blast (as did husband and I)!

I saw the stranger episode the other day too. That's where I got my porch name. Never noticed the ears. Is Bill in another episode?

Continued prayers friends!

I still have an old Kodak Camera my dad gave when I was 16. Can't buy film for it any more but the memories keep it safe from the trash can. Maybe, when P-H shows back up I can ask him how to post albums from facebook.

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91901: Howdy, porch! Just got back from preachin'. Sure glad I went, but then, I always am. I am so proud of my SS department. One of our members has been ill and unable to work for a while now. His wife works, but she doesn't make much money. They're having it really tough right now. They weren't present this morning, so one of our men got up and briefly outlined the problem for the department, and suggested we pass the hat, as there is a $300 bill that they must pay right now. Well, when the tally was made, we had $750! One of the men took the money to them (they just live around the corner from the church) and they were absolutely overwhelmed. I couldn't help noting how God's blessings just carry on, and multiply. Because He has so richly blessed all of us, we were able to share and extend that blessing to that family. I guess you could say we "paid it forward" - that's always a good plan.

That principle can be applied in many ways. You may remember that I told about the little family my class was helping at Christmas. In addition to the gifts we bought and wrapped and gave to them, we gave them $75 in cash, too. Well, that wise little mother divided the $75 among her three children, and took them shopping so they could buy gifts for each other! Thus, she taught them the joy of giving and sharing. Like the loaves and fishes, joy can be multiplied. God is so good.

I think I'm going through a molt, like an old chicken. Everywhere I look - on my desk, on my shoulders, even on the back of my chair, there are white hairs. Too short to be Toye Starr's, they have to be mine. I hope it stops soon. I don't mind having silver hair, just as long as I still have some!

Well, I've got some good old leftovers, so guess I'll go heat them up. The SS girls were going out to eat, but they were going to a restaurant that I just really don't like, so I declined and came home. These need to be used up anyway, and I like leftovers! I make some strange combinations sometimes, but who cares? Dale was very good about eating leftovers too, and I was so glad. I know people who wouldn't dare eat them, and I just feel kinda sorry for them. Lots of things are actually better the next day.

Have a wonderful, peaceful and restorative Sabbath, everyone. --Romeena

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91905: We used to have a brownie camera that belonged to my grandmother but no telling where it is now. When mom and dad moved out of their house, some things just can't be found now.

Ro, my hair has been falling out like crazy for months now and it is concerning. I guess I shouldn't be surprised...seems like that started happening to the women in my mom's family. Probably a hereditary thing for me.

I'm still coughing and sneezing, unfortunately. It is just a beautiful day today and I can't enjoy it. Ate leftover pizza for lunch but will have more soup for dinner later...much better for me. Hope you are all having a nice sunday afternoon.

Auh2o, it was good to see a pic of one of those black squirrels you have talked about. I have never, ever seen one down here. All our squirrels are tan and on the small side.

Boo

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91906: Yep, the tinyurls worked for me, too. Auh2o, your trees must be nice and full. Some beautiful birds. Do you put out seed for them? I like the black squirrel too! My squirrels in this part of Texas are the little "fox" squirrels. Their backs are brown/gray and perfectly match the bark on the trees. That color shades through a rusty brown as it gets closer to their bellies, which are a creamy beige color. They look a lot like the squirrels in Houston, which are probably similar to those in Boo's area - "coastal squirrels", I suppose. However, ours are a bit bigger and have fluffier tails. My aunt who lived in Houston used to say her squirrels had "tacky little tails." She was so funny. She hated those squirrels, because they dug in her flowerbeds. As she put it, "every time I look out back all I can see is squirrel backsides and dirt flying." I sanitized her comment a bit for you, but you get the idea.

Boo, I haven't noticed my hair seeming any thinner, there's still an awful lot of it, but I'm shedding like a cat. I remember my mom used to complain of the same thing now and then. Maybe I've just never noticed it before. My hair is almost completely silver/white now, and it shows up everywhere it lands.

Well, back to the TV. Not much going on around here today. A very peaceful day, and I'm loving it! --Romeena

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91907: that's funny, Ro...about the squirrel's backsides. :)

This dang cold is getting worse by the hour! Now I have a constant drip and have to carry kleenix everywhere I go. I remember when erin had this, she walked around for days with kleenix stuffed up her nose! I just took some Nyquil and am really hoping I can sleep. This thing is miserable, and just when I thought it was getting better. :(

I just finished watching the season premiere of "Downton Abbey" on PBS. Do any of you watch it? I am new to it and happened to see the last ep of the last season and I was hooked. Pretty impressive...no profanity or anything but is a bit like a cleaned-up, up-scale soap. It keeps your interest from start to finish.

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91908:
G-F That is one cool camera. The camera I posted about was one of the "new fangled Instant ones." Well, "new fangled Instant ones" circa 1976. I think if I showed it to my girls they may not even guess camera. But boy...was I proud of that thing.

MDC-Isn't funny how computer people work their magic.

Boo & Romeena- We are swimming in squirrels and chipmunks here. There are so many the kinda give Mrs auh2o the creeps sometimes. We have gray, red, white, black and smaller brown ones. The gray squirrels are hands down the biggest. A few years back we had a couple of chipmunks in the basement, what a racket.

Romeena-Yes, we do feed the birds and critters year round here. The only time we don't is when there is an uptick in bears sightings. Oh yeah, sometimes we have to bring in the feeders when the racoons get to many too much trouble. That is one smart animal, a raccoon.

Maude-Is Fatz a chain or regional restaurant? I don't believe I've heard of that one.

auh2o

January 06, 2013 - Msg 91909: Bears? Now that's one critter I don't think I'd try to feed! I'm really partial to the little fellers. I wish we had a variety of squirrels, but the little common fox squirrel is all we have around here.

I had a Brownie Hawkeye camera many, many years ago. In fact, it may still be around here somewhere. I also have one of the "instant" cameras, a Polaroid SX-70. I know where it is, and it's in pristine condition. I'm quite sure it would still work, if I could get film for it. I wonder what it's worth these days? A collectible, I'm sure.

I just watched "Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation", and it was hilarious. I had forgotten what a good movie it was. Jimmy Stewart was just his classic self, and so funny. They don't make 'em like that anymore, unfortunately.

Boo, I watch PBS all the time, but haven't seen "Downtown Abbey" on our station. They're probably running it, I've just missed it. I'll have to watch for it. Dale and I used to watch "Upstairs, Downstairs" many years ago, and really enjoyed it. For now, Hyacinth is on, so guess I'll go watch it. I'm sure I know the dialogue by heart, but I don't care. I just love to watch Patricia Routledge - she was so funny in that role.

Goodnight, all. --Romeena

January 07, 2013 - Msg 91910: Ro, Downton Abbey is on Masterpiece Theater on Sunday evenings, starting at 8. I never got into Upstairs, Downstairs, but I'll bet if your watched Downton, you would really like it. Maggie Smith is my favorite character. She plays the old, rich English grandmother who is never at a loss for the most wonderful comebacks and remarks. That crazy Shirley McClain was on it tonight, also playing one of the grandmothers (but an american) and the sparks would fly between the two. Good stuff. It goes into the lives of not only the aristocratic family members of Downton Abbey, but also the staff of maids, valets, butlers, etc.

Auh2o, has your wife seen the hilarious "squirrel scene" in the Christmas Vacation movie?

Well cooks, I hit a homerun for dinner last night. Yep, a real bobby dazzler. A herb chicken, with mashed taters and gravy and corn. Delicious. Oh, it was Marie Callenders. LOL Way better than anything I could manage I'm ashamed to say. It may be my future though. :(

Auh2o, when you was talking about chipmunks in your basement and being noisy, I couldn't help but wonder if they wasn't down there singing a rendition of "Christmas don't be late". Now that song is stuck in my head.

Get better Boo. That nast stuff is all over the place. Seems like eveyone at work has had it. I've been spared somehow. Not sure why. I always seem to catch everything. You got anything we can loosen? :)

Thanks for the youtube link G-F. I did find one recipe on there that I think I can handle. "How to make a peanut butter and jelly sammich". Actually I saw a couple of recipes for making KFC type cole slaw. Y'all may think I'm nuts, but I think KFC has set the "gold standard" for cole slaw. I go there sometimes cause I'm craving the cole slaw more than the chicken. So I may give that a try this week. If I can remember to get the fixins it calls for when I go shopping.
Anyone got some hints for cooking some cornish game hens? I have me a hankering for one of them.

I'm seriously dumbfounded...what's gotten into them? This is the first time anyone has every taken care of me when I was sick (since childhood anyways). Even Bruce sent me a text telling me to rest and that he would clean the kitchen when he got home. This leads me to just one conclusion: I must really look as terrible as I feel! I had better get back to my easy chair.

Auh2o just keep that snow right there at your house.

Mr.TOM

January 08, 2013 - Msg 91928: Good morning, porch. Tom, I'm glad you checked in. Been missing you!

Auh2o, that's a "cool" picture, in more ways than one. We do get a little snow now and then, but we never, ever, see something like that. It sure is pretty! I'd love to go tramping off into those woods to see what I could see. Of course, I'd have to spend a small fortune on warm clothing and boots first, because I don't have any boots and not much in the way of warm coats. We just don't need such as that around here. No hats, either.

I feel like a voyeur this morning. When I sat down here at my window, I noticed what appeared to be a good-sized, furry animal at first, and I thought it was a cat, stuck high up in one of the trees. Then the "cat" separated into two small critters, and I realized I was witnessing a love affair between two squirrels. Folks, it's the sweetest thing you can imagine. She's small, obviously one of this past spring's babies, and though she seems willing, she's very shy. He's very patient and tender, stays close to her but doesn't rush her, nuzzles her face, and reaches out to pat her with his little front paws. This is all going on right now, and is just the sweetest thing ever. They're perched on a horizontal limb, about twenty feet off the ground. I think he has achieved his goal now, because they're very close, and very still. I figure they might be vulnerable to a predator at this point, so I'm going to keep watch over them until they go their separate ways. Heaven help my neighbor's obnoxious cat if he enters the yard right now.

I think the little girl is the one that has been checking out the nest box that's in the tree they're in, actually just a few feet from where they're perched. She's a little darker than most of our squirrels, so easily recognized. I hope she does den up in that box, because I've got a great sight line to it from my window. Watching the baby squirrels when they start to emerge from the nest is just a great way to spend a morning.

Well, I think the deed is done. The little girl just left him, and ran out onto a tiny limb, little more than a twig. She's flirting with him now, swishing her tail and looking back at him, but he doesn't seem to be all that interested. Maybe he could use a cigarette!

Well, there she goes. She just took off down the power line, and he's still sitting in the tree, looking smug. I tell you what, I wouldn't take a dollar and a quarter for this window! Beats stale television shows any time!

It's gray and cloudy here, and we're supposed to get heavy thunderstorms. It's only 48°, but it feels colder. Even in the house, with the temp set where it always is at night, it feels colder. Toye Starr woke me this morning, trying to tuck her little feet under me. I made her a place, she tucked them in and went back to sleep. She's like me, I guess. I can't sleep if my feet are cold.

Well, guess I'll go rustle up some breakfast. I have a few of those sausage balls in the freezer, left from the ones I made for New Year's Eve, and they heat nicely in the micro. I have a box of blackberries as well. Sounds like breakfast to me! Blessings, y'all! --Romeena

January 08, 2013 - Msg 91930: MDC, I watched part of that Roadshow but I missed the part you are talking about, darn it.

Still feeling crummy...actually started with a fever last night. this is a weird virus...it was the same when Erin had it, she didn't get the fever in the beginning but a few days into the cold. I should be getting to the end of this thing, though.

It warmed up here today but we are expecting some severe weather here this afternoon...possible hail and tornadoes, according to the weatherman.

That was a really neat picture, Auh2o (it made me very, very jealous) ;)...post as many as you like!

OK, Ro...that's a first for me. I've never heard anyone describe squirrels mating before. I am concerned for the little girl squirrel because the boy is sweet-talking her but he's a two-timer and will hook up with any female squirrel in the yard, from what I hear. ;) hehe...It is interesting that he is gentle towards her. It seems like in the animal kingdom it is often the opposite. For instance, don't male lions sink their teeth into the necks of their "girlfriends"? I don't even wanna know how giraffes conduct themselves, since they are so selfish. ;)

I'm really careful being in contact with so many people while out on the road. I never touch my face with my hands until after the concert and I've washed them really good. Well sports fans....the SEC ripped again last night. Wow that was a whipping!

Well better get going. Got a concert tonight. Gotta get set and do a sound check. Then I may just watch a TAGS...maybe "Barney and the choir" just to encourage me before the concert...lol

I am not very coordinated which means I am not very good at Zumba but it is fun and a way to channel out my work stress.

Yep, Lucy I have a Mayberry Union High sweatshirt. Ordered it from Weavers Department store on the TAGS website. It's warm just plain fun to wear.

Well, just wanted to rock for a minute. Better get ready for the ole ironing board .

Prayers and blessings.

January 09, 2013 - Msg 91945: Thank you MDC for the bid on the auction. It was much appreciated and brought tears to my eyes.

Most of Casey's medical bills are taken care of but there are some things that are not. He needs a few things that I do not have the resources at this time to get for him. So he and I decided to try and auction off a couple of things that he designed. Casey began making beaded bracelets and earrings during his recovery time. He then branched out to doing barbed wire stars and crosses. Really neat looking. Then I added sculpting with polymer clay. Between the two of us, we started Dirt Road Diva (I'm the diva but he is really the designer of most things).

We are thankful that Anthony will go back to work at the end of the month (hopefully). I am subbing almost every day. Subbing allows me the flexibility to go to Casey's doctor appointments. He is scheduled for surgery after school is out. He can't miss the amount of school needed for recovery time. He may need to have both feet fused. When he has the next surgery, he will lose all flexibility in his foot. This disease has not affected his ankles only the feet. As all of the professionals we have talked to - Casey's feet are just gone.

Thank you for the prayers and concerns.

I wrote this once and I got flagged for some reason so I am sure I left something out. Thank you for your support and prayers.

January 09, 2013 - Msg 91946: I should say that he has already had two partial foot fusions (one in each foot) but now they are doing more fusing of the bones. It is a joint they wanted to avoid but the degeneration is too great and is causing him too much pain. The doctor is amazed at his attitude. Thanks for the prayers again. . .

A NEW CHANCE

There's so to much to be thank-you for
As we start this brand-new year.
We have a God ho loves us so
And will free us from all fear.

Seasons come and saesons go,
Sharing their own true beauty,
While Heaven's sun, moon, and stars
Perfrom their accustomed duty.

Every day will be a gift of love,
A new chance to smell eachch .
So, as we travel through the year,
Give God the glory- He's the Power.

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91954: Good morning Porch pals.

Well I'm kinda full of myself this morning. I tried making cole slaw last night and wow, what a success. It came out delicious gang. I'm sorry, I don't mean to brag on myself, but I have so little success in the kitchen, when I do have something come out right, y'all are gonna hear about it. And this for sure came out right. I may be the grouse of gravy, but I hearby crown me the king of cole slaw. lol

Prayers for Casey Homemaker. That's a tough situation.

Boo, I hope you are feeling better. You sure been quiet. Be mindful of pneumonia. I know several people who have had that develop from this nasty bug.

MDC, I enjoyed that link. Love The Real McCoys. I always thought the Wife was a sweetheart of a gal.

So G-F, you softened up the old State Boiler Inspector with some of the Rev's singing huh? I'll have to try that. Then inspectors can get full of themselves sometimes.

I thought Wibur Finch was a big time t.v. movie producer from New York Ciry. At least that's what Floyd told me. And he would know, he's a barber.

Well our inversion broke yesterday. Warmed up to the mid 30's and it felt like a heat wave. But the reason it broke is because we have another winter storm moving in later today. Wind, snow, cold. Better tuck in my nerves.

Prayers for all to have a good day.

Sorry I did not take one for the Team that day..But we got good scores any way...

All this McCoy talk, did anyone catch the mini-series "Hatfields and the McCoys" It was a good one, I thought.

HM-Thinking of and praying for you folks.

Asa-I don't want to start anything here this morning but I also make a mighty fine coleslaw. Man, I love the coleslaw.

I don't know if anyone noticed outside of NY but Gov. Coumo is gonna save us from ourselves. So weez be not shooting each other and such. Weez being legal gun owners. I read somewhere that those boys at Columbine broke something like 25 laws existing laws when they murdered those people in Colorado. But hey... who am I to say.

Sunny and 40ish today here and into the 50's this weekend. As much as I love winter nothing beats spring.

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91957: Good morning, porch! Finally clearing up here after a lot of rain, and supposed to warm up to the high 60s as well. I can handle that!

So ol' Cuomo is gonna fix the problem, is he? Well, I wish him all the luck in the world. I may not be very smart, but a couple of things come to mind. Let's see. Drugs are illegal, but our cities are full of junkies. They still get the drugs, which are available to anyone for the asking and the price. It's illegal to steal, but it happens - a lot. It's illegal to drink and drive, but I could tell you the story of z man who had 42 - that's forty-two - drunk driving convictions - not arrests, that's convictions. It's illegal to drive without a license too, and his had been yanked, but he still drove anyway, until he finally killed someone. At one time, it was illegal in this country to buy, sell or consume liquor. I think we all know how that worked out. It simply created a thriving blackmarket culture, and you can bet almost every big politician had his own private supply, just as their homes will be armed, regardless of the law. It's illegal to break and enter, but it happens frequently. Locks only keep honest people out. Making it illegal to own a gun will only disarm honest people, and there will be a very lucrative blackmarket culture, to provide guns to those who don't care about the law. How on earth can any thinking person really believe that making guns illegal will eliminate them? And I have to ask - when our guns are confiscated, what will our fearless leader do with them? Probably funnel them into Mexico, as he has already done. There, they will be used to arm the drug cartels, murder INS agents, and a lot of them will be sold back into the US to supply the blackmarket. There, doesn't that make us all feel safe?

Sorry for this rant, but this is a subject about which I feel very ztrongly, and will debate it with anyone who chooses to try. As my dad said, "You cannot legislate morality." He was right. If some nut is bound to go on a rampage, he's not likely to say, "Oh, drat. I'd love to go shoot up a theater, but since guns are illegal, oh well. Guess I can't do that. Maybe I'll just go throw rocks at them instead."

Sorry, folks. Maybe I'll return later, in a more serene frame of mind. --Romeena

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91959: If I can tag on to Ro's post for a second.
Have you noticed the same folks who are wanting to outlaw guns are the same folks who want to make druge legal because "we simply can't enforce the drug situation"? Makes no sense folks.
And ask that wife and mother in Alabama who had to shoot a robber 5 times who had broke into her house about it. I suspect the outcome on that story would have been much different had she not owned a gun.
I know it's an old and tired saying, but ever so true, "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns".
Maybe the real problem here could be considered, Mental illness, and personal responsibility.

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91960: Ok...G-F will chime in on this gun control thing too. A former retired co-worker got a job working with his Son at a Meat mkt. they have been robbed twice in the last 2 months, the really bad ones where they held a gun up to them.
Well last week it happened the 3rd time the Son this time was Packin'. When the 2 punks pulled their guns out and shot one off, the Son put 3 shots in each one of them! Bleewie...The police picked them up at the hospitals they went to the one kid was pretty bad, not sure if he made it or not. Co-workers Son was a good shot I think he practiced gun control..He used BOTH hands!!

Best thing no charges were filed on Son...
I don't think they will have many more robberies now that the word got out....That's what I'm thinkin'.....

Put a whole new meaning to "Tuff Meat".....
Come to think of it I think the Son's name is Jim...Don't know about the Diamond part tho...

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91961:
I agree with you folks about all this gun control junk....Laws are already in effect to keep the guns out of the thug's hands but guess what...a thug could care less about those laws. So what are more laws going to do.....NOTHING but take away more rights from the law abiding person. How can so call intelligent people be so stupid. It really blows my mind.

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91962:
G-F I sure hope the son doesn't have any lasting emotional effects from the shooting. But it's like Asa just posted, "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

I think it was brought out that the movie theater shooter chose that place because it HAD strict gun rules. And, the last mall shooter only took his own life after he spotted one of the shoppers taking out his own gun and began to aim at him.

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91963: Hey folks!

I'm gonna jump in the conversation, if ya don't mind. My Father-in-Law told us a month or so ago is we don't need gun control (outside of automatics). He said we need God back in schools and parents to be at home disciplining their children. I agree with him.

It's warm here in Atlanta. We have our windows open! Rain is supposed to be coming in. I hope Spot doesn't have too much trouble tonight.

This week has been so tiring for me. The first week back to school and have up caffeine (involuntarily!).

Going to make some kale chips. Check in with y'all later!

Blessings,
Lucy

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91964: Thanks Asa, this has not been my best day but I feel like I can sit on the porch for a few minutes. I am thinking that what I have had might be one of the flu bugs that's going around. I haven't left the house in a week and still a little fever, body aches, and now it has turned into sinusitis. I guess I will see the doc on monday if I am not better. I broke down and took some advil a little while ago but its always a debate because it sometimes hurts my stomach. I have one of those "sensitive" somachs like Barney...most meds bother me. Right now the left side of my head and face and my top teeth are sore and hurting, so I know the sinuses are really inflamed but I have some steroid inhaler that the doc gave me the last time I had this and i will use that. Hopefully things will begin to get better this weekend. Thanks for the prayers.

I'm just going to keep quiet on the gun control thing, except to say that you might as well try to take fresh meat from a tiger, as to try and take the guns out of Texas. Seriously, almost everyone I know has a gun. Unfortunately, not everyone is responsible with guns in the home and that it is a problem. I do have a good friend whose 9 yr old daughter was killed in a hunting accident. Her older brother shot her at close range with a shotgun. Something like that could happen anywhere...I think the parents made the mistake of letting the kids go off alone with guns...crazy.

Lucy, I was in a little antique mall near here last month and I met a lady who was working there. She was probably 70 or so and very nice. We struck up a conversation about the state of things in this country and she said something that I think really hits the nail on the head. She said that when so many moms left the home and had to work, that is when things started to go wrong. Now I know that causes alot of people to get the hair up on their backs (women's rights and all) and every situation is different. I don't think we can disagree, though, that the family has suffered when most moms went into the workforce. Now days, it takes two incomes for most people but it didn't used to be that way when life was simpler. I know women who would love to be able to stay at home and not work all the time but they are stuck. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth. I remember how wonderful it was to have a mom who was home. It was a blessing, for sure. We only had one car, and a modest home...not many extras, but we were happy.

OK, time to rest again...

Boo

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91965: Oh, forgot to mention...next time you watch the episode when Andy and Ellie make up a robbery to help Barney's morale, notice that when Barney is trying to dust the cash register for prints, there is a display of sunglasses behind him. The bottom pair is missing a lense...just something i noticed. ;)

Boo

January 10, 2013 - Msg 91966: Hey, Boo! I noticed that missing lens myself the other day, when I watched that ep. We must be trained noticers!

Lucy, I agree with your father-in-law wholeheartedly. I also agree with you, Boo, and what the lady in the antique mall said. Very true. However, it is what it is, moms are not at home and God has been kicked out of the schools. Sad, but true. So now we have to deal with the results, and disarming the citizenry is not the answer. It can't be said too often, REV. You're so right - when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. I do agree that no private citizen, not even a hunter, needs those big-magazine, auto and semi-automatic rifles. Leave those to the law officers and the military. That might keep a few of them out of the hands of the criminals and deranged individuals, but not all, by any means. Still, I don't feel I need one. My .45 will do. I'm keeping my gun, because there's another old saying that's true. "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away." As for the lady who shot the robber five times, I say more power to her. Reminds me of the little joke that's told about a woman who was attacked on the street, pulled out her gun and shot the guy six times. When the police asked her why she shot him six times, she said, "Because the seventh time, the gun just went 'click'." Yep! As my police officer friend told me, "you're likely dealing with a zombie (someone high on drugs), so if he's moving, he might still get up and come after you. So - you don't quit firing until he quits moving." Tough thought, and I'd hate to do it, but if threatened, I will.

Well, I'm pooped. Ran a bunch of errands, stopped and got a sandwich with Eloise, and now I'm home and thinking about getting in my chair with my feet up and my little canine companion in my lap. She's been in here trying to get my attention, so I know she's thinking the same thing. Blessings! --Romeena
