Hey to Miss Sherry.
APB for Ed Sawyer!! Specken ze deutch?
Where ya been Ed, come on home to your hometown.
Here's a cute story: when visiting my mom at the home on Sunday, I brought some of my wife's meatloaf as a change of pace from the inst-tutional food. As I transfered it from the plastic bin to a plate, I asked another lady at the table if she would like some of my wife's
meatloaf, and she responded "Oh no, I dont want to take it from your wife!" It's those lite moments like that which keep me goin'!
So innocent in her condition to answer that way.
Sad and funny all at the same time, so I accentuate the positive!
Pipeman, we need another decree "Overeating Lays on Your Chest" haha
Barney Fife, personal trainer to town drunks!
Wonder how many times Barney's gun, in all 249 eps, went off when reloading. My guess, about 20 times.
Well, keep warn, plug in your cars, and dont mind me watching golf in the desert!

Folks, here's a link to something that I really believe every American needs to read. There's so much disagreement and discontent with American policies regarding our actions in the rest of the world right now. I firmly believe that there's so much at stake that we all need to take a long hard look at what's going on, and get in line to support our country, or one of these days, we're going to find ourselves worshipping our Lord in secret places, if at all. Now, pipeman, I have nothing personal against illegal aliens, but I will say this. I used to work in the admittance office of a hospital. If a patient came in whom we suspected to be an illegal alien, we could not refuse them care. So many of them would give us some money right away with the intent to pay the rest later. After the patient was discharged, we never saw the rest of the money. This happened so many times, that we took it for granted we would never get paid. This is one of the reasons why medical care has skyrocketed for everyone.

Mexico is now trying to tell us how to run our country. Vinent Fox even published a booklet on how, when and where to illegally cross. I'm not kidding, the booklet was shown in our newspaper.
Also, they say that now they are moving east to come in thru texas. How many terrorists are also coming in??? Ok, not porch talk, but very real senario. As for the "hate" case in Philly,
the American Family Association states that 4 Christians were arrested for teaching what the Bible states about same s-x, even tho they had a permit to do so, and even told authorities what they were going to do. Lots of prayer needed.
Ok, blooy goes the box.

Honey, they've been coming in through Texas for many, many years! We're the Great Gateway to imagined riches. You couldn't swing a cat without hitting an illegal alien around here. There are thousands here in North Texas, and we won't even mention South Texas. In the grocery stores here, all the "specials" banners are printed in English and Spanish both. Every night at work I take care of new mothers who speak no English, but have arrived here to birth their baby. The only English most of them know is "Es gratis?" "Is it free?" Insurance? Money to pay? Ha! Some do have Medicaid, but we all know who pays for that. Oh, mercy. Don't get me started.

No school today - we got enough snow to close my district. My kids had to go at the regular time. But they had a nice momma who drove them to school instead of riding the school bus. My oldest called me an angel this morning because I put his new patches (Air Force Academy and US Flag) on his denim jacket. He was proud! Be in prayers for the cadet who passed away at the Academy this week. He had a heart attack during PT. He was a freshman. Our friend who is a freshman was in the same squadron as he was. His family asked him to speak at the funeral this weekend.
I am off to the doctor. I will be told when my "womanly surgery" will be. Most likely it will be the 24th of this month. So I may not be chatting for a week or two. Hopefully - the boys will find out how much momma does do for them.
Well - I've chatted long enough - please take care! And since the Colts aren't in the Bowl game - I have to root for the Eagles (anyone but the Patriots!).

Anyone know of a good cell phone company? The contract for our current one runs out today, and I don't intend on staying with them(the time they overcharged us and I was lucky enough to find it kind of did it for me). Wifey tends to prefer ones with "plans" but I don't really care for those two-year contracts they stick you with so I have been looking at the pre-paid ones. I was initially thinking of going with Tracfone, but I have seen too many complaints about them so now I am not too sure. The only other pre-paid one we have around here is Virgin Mobile which looks more promising to me(not many complaints; good customer service), but I am still not sure. I think a pre-paid phone would be good for me because I wouldn't use it that often, although my wife is a different story as she seems to need to get on the phone as soon as she gets in the car, :) which probably accounts for our $300 overage of minutes on our current plan lately. :(
I would rather avoid contracts altogether, but if anyone is on a family plan with a certain carrier and they like them and they are economical, I would probably entertain the idea, as I know some of these have a deal where calls to someone else on the same service is free. I really don't understand why they need these contracts though. If you give people good quality and good customer service they are going to WANT to stay with you, aren't they? So why is that contract with the threat of a hefty termination fee needed? Unless they don't want to provide good service. Something to think about.
Boy, that almost sounded like something I might need to get up on the soapbox to say.*covertly slips the soapbox back under the porch* *or the bandstand*

We did have to sign a 2 yr deal, but we get 900 peak minutes (6am-7pm), and unlimited nights and weekends and unlimited mobile to mobile. We got a good deal on new GSM phones - Nokia 6010's (20 bucks a pop but we got rebates for that cost). We got our phones in October 2004, so some of the rebates and/or free phones offers probably differ somewhat. We have had AT&T Wireless for probably around 5 years or so total, and their customer service was ok, not sure how Cingulars CS is though.

Thanks for your cellphone suggestions, everyone. After talking with my brother and several of his church friends who were all using the same provider, we decided to go with US Cellular. After all, if you can't trust church people, who can you trust?! I mean, other than people who watch TAGS.:)
I think it is the best plan for us. We get 1500 anytime minutes; free incoming calls; free calls to anyone else who uses US Cellular; and camera phones which after rebate one of them will be free. All for about what we were (originally) paying with AllHel, er, I mean, AllTel.;) Around $70 a month. Oh, plus we added 3000 extra night and weekend minutes(my wife will need those) for an extra $4.95 a month, so it will only be a little higher. What's good is that the night minutes kick in at 7pm instead of at 9pm(who calls anyone after 9 anyway) like in our plan with AllHe... well, you know who.
I bit the bullet(not Barneys) and signed the 2-yr contract, but this plan just sounded too good. Hopefully it is just not too good to be true. Time will tell if it is.

We jest got one of them con-traptions that you crank and ask Sarah to connect ya. We're really cooking with gas now!
Along that line, anyone else here old enuf to remember watching test patterns on TV?
On saturday mornings we would actually sit and watch the test pattern waiting for the station to "sign on the air!" Then it would start our cartoon run of Mighty Mouse, Ruff and Ready, Howdy Doody, and Fury!
Some stations would then sign off about 10 PM with
the star spangled banner.
Well, so much for the good old days of TV.
The Happy Days reunion was pretty good last night. I did hear Ronnie Howard mention TAGS one time.
Well, have a great mayberry day.
Lunch special at the diner at noon.

Sterling, We did the US Cellular thing at Christmastime (after having trouble with being able to get a signal on Verizon) with the same deal as you're getting. So far so good (although I haven't got my rebate back yet) and our kids love the camera phones! I don't even know how to use them, but they sure do!

I feel sorry for you, Rev. Jr. Oh, your company switched over? Then I feel sorry for them too. Does that mean you aren't paying for it? If you do, just be sure to check your bill every month, or have the company check theirs. And don't add anything to your plan or change plans while you are under contract with them as I read they have a nasty habit of automatically giving people a new 2-yr contract without telling them. Ok, enough Alltel bashing.
MDC, sometimes I'd like to go back to having a Sarah to connect your calls.
I do recall some tv stations signing off with the Star-Spangled Banner, usually when I used to stay up real late though. Do any tv stations do that now? I guess probably not because most just put on infomercials and never sign off.
Yeah, Charlotte, I don't know how to use my camera yet either! lol But good to hear you haven't had any problems with US Cellular yet.
