Today is my birthday and nobody remembered! :'( My mother always calls me and gets me out of bed by singing Happy Birthday to me, but she must have forgot too! Darn, I was hoping she'd get me a new septic tank! :(

I just dropped a can and a half of potted meat, part of a jar of mustard, a slightly used lawnmower blade, and a file in the mail to you for your birthday.  I hope you have a big ole time.  mmmm

I dropped a loaf of rye bread, some ketchup and mayo packets, and a brand new paper plate to eat with Karl's things.  I am also enclosing a box of birthday candles. The one with the 5 on it is slighty used. I used it on my son's fifth birthday. He is now 31.
Could you please send it back in four years.

The boys got the recipe right this time, so I'm sendin' you 2 slices of Hoot Owl pie.  Charlene fixed some fish muddle with 4 slices of bacon and 8 buckeyes on top.  Dud and Ernest T went out and shot half o' dozen mockingbirds so you can make a casserole.

After we get the snow and ice cleared off the Robert E. Lee Natural Bridge, we'll head on up to your place for some good eatin' and some juggin'!!!

Me 'n the boys learned a new song.     "Get out of the stables Grandma, you're too old to be horsin' around"

We figure you might like that one!

Mr. Briscoe, seein' as how I got a lot of time on my hands here at the nervous hospital (99 years and one dark day) I wrote a song and I'd be honored if you and the boys would sing it sometime.  I call it " I Can't Get Over You Darlin', So You Get Up And Turn Off The Light".  It's a long song I reckon.  mmmmm   Maybe you could debut it at Uncle Nat's party.  I wish I could go but...well....you know.  mmmmm

I can't wait for the MEAT to get here bein' that nobody made me a birthday cake....I'm hungry! I 'preciate the lawnmower blade and file too maybe I'll have it sharpened by the time all this snow melts so's I can put 'er to good use! Nobody's ever been that generous to me on my Birthday! :)

You're gettin' me all keyed up! I can't wait fer ya all to get here! I'm just a hopin' that new song ya gots fer me doesn't make me cry!  :)
Take 'er easy comin' across the bridge I hears it's mighty slippery when wet and I don't want ya to get my Hoot Owl Pie all soggy.....hard to believe at my age I still got all my teeth and I don't have to soak things before I eat 'em! ;D
